Welcome back to me, and hello to all of you.

Finally! It’s about time, and so proud of actually writing my 3rd post. A big YAY!!!
Alright, enough about my intro, and let me get started. Today, lemme take the fashion route and will talk about one on-trend item (drumroll please) - THE BOMBER JACKET.
So, why did I choose this item? For several reasons, designers and retailers bring it back from season to season each year. SECOND, for Fall 2016, the style still made it on the list of on-trend items. THIRD, each season, the bomber gets a redesign. FOURTH, the style is very versatile and almost suits any age group. And lastly, a style that all genders can wear. This particular one I am talking about is from Zara Spring 2016. Is it possible I am backtracking? (Remember folks that I had a backlog of thoughts and was unable to release and didn’t have time to let it out of my lil’ brain because I got extremely busy at my day job. As a souvenir, I took a photo using my iPhone and hoped to blog about it as soon as possible.)
I bought the jacket when it became available online for the first time. The batch of leather jackets from Zara starting last year got a major “facelift.” The price is right, and details, oh my, details - and I am so particular about those - lemme give it a thumbs up!
This quilted bomber, almost Chanel-ly ala Marc Jacobs, is handsome on the hanger. Topstitching details, pipings, and zipper - perfect! But the jacket will feel a little heavy because it’s quilted and the weight of the zipper.
For a minute, I thought it could just be my body’s issue or my own expectations. The first defect I found: the shoulders’ seams. Because it’s brand new, the shoulders feel extremely stiff and tend to go forward a bit when worn. Optimistically speaking, leather “gives” and will soften from wear. With that said, the shoulders’ seams will lay flatter, hopefully. I left it on the hanger for a few days and tried it on in the morning and night to see if it would feel different. But it made no difference with how it fit.
To conclude, the biggest issue I found personally really is the armhole. I almost thought I could ignore the minor deficiencies, but the armhole area bothered me. It would have made a difference if it was dropped ½” to ¾”.
This is my public plea to Zara. I am a big fan and genuinely love a bunch of your stuff. If this particular style will be brought back in the future, please consider dropping the armhole by ½” or doing a heavy knit combo to contrast with the leather sleeves. The knit contrast will complement the rest of the trims and detailing nicely. It will also improve the fit around the armhole and somewhat help the jacket feel a little lighter.
It may not matter now as this item was last season, but I want to voice out my thoughts because I LOVED and got IMPRESSED by the details of this jacket. I would give this bomber jacket 3.5 stars out of 5.
Not bad, huh?!
Suppose any of the Zara design folks come across this particular post. Please consider.
Thank you, my darlings.
Until my next post. XO
